Display - Cando to Gear 3.5G CF Lines Toward Smaller Panels

Citing price pressures for larger panels, Cando has indicated that its 3.5 generation lines will see a complete shift to the production of color filter for small and medium panels 10" and smaller. The company has also warned that the necessary adjustments in yield rates are likely to result in low shipment volume during October.
Equipment or its 4.5 generation line is currently being installed, and the color filter supplier expects the line to ramp up mass production by the first quarter of 2005. Monthly capacity is anticipated to reach 60,000 units, and output will be geared for panels 15" and larger.
